  • The studio can be accessed via a number of bus routes including the 23 and 26 buses to and from Newcastle (via Lambton and Kotara), the 260 and 261 buses (servicing Minmi, Wallsend, Fletcher and Maryland). The bus stop for the 12 bus (Maryland to Merewether) is also located a few minutes’ walk from the studio.

  • The front door to the studio is accessible by 6 steps. This means the studio is not accessible for non-ambulatory wheelchair users. Ambulatory wheelchair users or those with other mobility restrictions can access the studio via the back door (2 steps) if required.

The piano bench has a weight limit of 180kg.

For students who may have sensory issues, the teaching studio has multiple lighting sources (none of which use fluorescent lighting). The studio is usually scent-free. Toys and manipulatives are stored in storage tubs and bins.

  • Django, our Rhodesian Ridgeback cross, is the resident studio dog. He is very friendly and loves people, does not jump or bark, and is incredibly well behaved. Django does not usually come into the studio during lessons, however, he might be in the living room when you enter or leave. Even though he is a gentle boy, Django is also a large dog, so please advise if anyone entering the studio is allergic to or afraid of dogs and we will ensure he is kept away during lessons.
